The Scioto Foundation, developed in 1974, is a 501( c)( 3) not-for-profit area foundation based in Portsmouth, Ohio. It manages over 350 endowment funds created by people, households, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations, all devoted to enhancing the lifestyle in Scioto County and the surrounding region. With properties going beyond $53 million, the foundation has awarded approximately $30 million in grants and scholarships considering that its inception.
